Mohnopuz, art in fiber

Surfing the Internet I have just found Mohnopuz. The girl behind the name is an amazing fiber artist. I could´t find more about her than an album at Flickr but I think that´s more than enough to see how awesome she is with this technique.

See it for yourself ;)

The amazing world of Gustavo Aimar

In 2006 I met this guy in a job we had at a local Journal, in Trelew (Chubut, Argentina).
We had lot of work there and little time to do it. Always rushing, designing ads. We became friends in a matter of days. He was so talented and I used to say to him: What are you doing in a place like this, in a job like this? You should be creating, in your own studio!
A short time after that, he quit the job and started a new path as a freelance illustrator.
I was sad when he left, but so happy for him because he made the right decision for his future.
Since then he became a worldwide known artist.
Look for yourself at some of his wonderful illustrations and collages!

Works in collage

Last week I have heard of an amazing artist: Elizabeth St. Hilaire Nelson. She torn bits of hand-painted papers, put them together and form the wonderfully vibrant collages you can see right below:

For those of you (lucky you!) who live in US, you can attend one of Elizabeth´s Workshops or in case you live far away like me, just buy her Collage Process Overview DVD at her web store.

I was invited to participate in the month trivia contest at Dahlia House Studios´s Facebook Page... and I was one of the first five persons who answered it correctly...!
So Gina, this AMAZING artist behind Dahlia House Studios, not only she organized this contest but also she gave us winners the chance to pick our favorite picture for the prize!

These were the choices:

Which one did I pick? It was hard to choose but I finally decided to get the one with sunflowers and clouds :) Aren´t they all VERY beautiful??
